Hey there, gaming fam! Gather round the virtual campfire as we’ve got some seriously juicy news to sink our teeth into today. Stunlock Studios, the Swedish wizards behind V Rising and arena brawler Battlerite, have dropped the full gameplay trailer for “Secrets of Gloomrot,” V Rising’s first major update to mark its one-year anniversary.
Set your alarms for May 17th, folks, because this is one party you don’t want to miss.
Now, what’s this Gloomrot all about, I hear you ask? Well, it’s a new, rather ominously-named region that’s been added to the world map. It’s an expansive playground packed full of mutated experiments and mechanical wonders – all the brainchildren of the brilliantly mad Trancendum.
In V Rising, they’ve always had a soft spot for a bit of bloodsucking, but this time, you’ll be hunting the blood of the genius madmen to harness the power of lightning and to advance into a new technological era. Fancy a quick snack, anyone?
But that’s not all. The update isn’t just about new territory. Your castle building skills are set for a boost, with the ability to construct multiple floors and claim castle territories. You can personalise your domain in a myriad of new ways. The combat has been amped up too, with new weapon types and a new spell school. And for those of you who love to customise, the new jewel system lets you modify your spells just the way you like them.
The world of Vardoran has been spruced up as well, with new points of interest, visual updates, and new items and enemy types to keep you on your toes. Oh, and did we mention the 13 additional bosses and 30 new enemy types? Yeah, this update isn’t messing about.
V Rising’s gothic world has already reeled in more than 3 million vampire-loving players, and this update is sure to add more to the fold. If you’re not already one of them, here’s a quick recap: V Rising is a dark fantasy realm where you play as a newly awakened vampire, striving to become the next Dracula. You’ll need to feed on blood to gain new powers, avoid the scorching sun, and engage in real-time PvE and PvP combat.
