Twitch recently announced their intentions to remove the total view count from the creator dashboard for streamers.
Twitch’s official statement says that “your total “Views” only includes channel page loads on desktop web, and is not inclusive of mobile or other viewing surfaces – so it’s not a true representation of your live audience and engaged community.”
This isn’t to say that there aren’t plenty of metrics available to track on Twitch that are just as useful, if not more, than the total page views. Some more accurate engagement metrics include your average viewers, the total number of minutes watched on your channel, how many unique chatters you have had per stream, etc, etc. These are easily accessible through your channel analytics, and may help you better understand your streaming performance.
