If you like your games relaxed and charming, Travellers Rest is one to keep an eye on, and you can get it for a bargain price for a short time only.
With many Stardew Valley vives, this adventure rpg has you managing a run down tavern. Brew drinks, cook food, decorate, manage staff and more to make your tavern the only place to be seen in the area.
It’s currently in early access – and has been since 2020 – and in some areas it shows, with the game currently a little light in quests and story elements. However I feel like I’ve got plenty of value already in my 50 hours and developer Isolated Games is actively working on their roadmap – an update introducing new NPC’s, crops and animal husbandry dropped just this week, and co-op got a huge overhaul in February. They’ve had seasonal events and are active in their Discord for bug reports and feedback, and a helpful friendly community.
Sometimes buying at Early Access can be a bit of a gamble so now might be the time to take a chance. It’s available on Steam and on the Epic Store (referral link supports the site) at slightly different prices in my region with either 20% or 33% off, but I would still get change from £10 either way. Sale lasts until 15th June.
