Expansion: Growing Together
A new expansion pack for the Sims 4 – “Growing Together” – has been announced today.
The pack focuses on living a life full of important moments and shared memories. The way Sims connect with each other and feel about their life will be deeper than ever, with slumber parties and midlife crises. The expansion will come with a new world to play in and many new gameplay and decorative items.
The new expansion will be released on the 16th of March 2023.
Players who pre-order or buy the pack before the 27th of April 2023 will get additional bonus content: A swing, a slide and a power-walking training machine.
After teasing this update at the last Sims Summit, the Sims team announced that the new life stage “infant” will be added to the base game as a free update on the 14th of March 2023. Infants are positioned between babies and toddlers and come with many new items and animations to make them unique. Adult Sims can carry infants around while they do other tasks and care for their little ones, creating special bonding moments.
Free Update (31st of January 2023)
The latest free update to the base game included some new features on top of the bug fixes and tweaks to the game.
New features include:
- New “medical wearables” category in CAS (with hearing aids and glucose monitors)
- Top surgery scars now available in the “scars” section in CAS
- Binders and shapewear available in CAS
- A light switch decorative item that can be found in Build & Buy mode
This update is very appreciated by the disabled and trans community and shows that the developers are striving to further improve the diversity in their game and represent even more players.
