Greetings, stalwart souls of the Gaming.Buzz community! Hold onto your joysticks as we journey into the terror-filled halls of The Outlast Trials. Montreal-based indie studio Red Barrels has just released the early access version of this much-anticipated game. So if you’re ready for spine-chilling frights and hair-raising thrills, buckle up, folks, we’re about to embark on a terrifying rollercoaster ride!
The Outlast Trials is now accessible via both the Steam and Epic Games Store for $29.99 USD. Get ready to step into the eerie confines of Murkoff’s Sinyala Facility, where fear and horror await at every dark corner. Either gather your bravest mates for this adventure or go solo if you dare. The choice is yours, but remember: in the world of Outlast, it’s run, hide, or die trying!
The Early Access launch provides all the chilling features we’ve come to love from classic Outlast games, and a lot more besides. Get ready for new environments, challenges, and trials that will push you to your limits. There’s a seasonal programme, character and cell customisation, full character progression, and narrative surprises for each Reagent (that’s you, the player!).
“We’re eager to see and hear how Reagents (players) perform in Murkoff’s experimental program during The Outlast Trials Early Access,” said Philippe Morin, Co-Founder of Red Barrels. “Feedback from players throughout Early Access is key to us delivering a more refined and balanced game. The Outlast Trials is our most challenging production and we’ll continue developing the game until we feel the game delivers our initial vision.”
The Outlast Trials, an innovative spin on the acclaimed Outlast survival horror series, invites you to immerse yourself in the same dread-laden universe of its predecessors. However, the game now offers a new twist: you can go through the bone-chilling experiences alone or in a team of up to four people.
Set against the backdrop of the Cold War era, you’ll assume the role of test subjects, abducted by the infamous Murkoff Corporation. As you suffer through a barrage of physical and mental tortures in a secret Murkoff facility, your sanity will be put to the ultimate test.
And now, the moment we’ve all been waiting for: the call to action. This is where you come in, Gaming.Buzz community. We’re looking to you to share your thoughts on this harrowing game. What are your first impressions? Are you brave enough to navigate the Murkoff’s Sinyala Facility solo, or are you planning to recruit a team to face the horror?
