The Highland Life Gets an Upgrade: Clanfolk’s 11th Update Goes Big on Aesthetics and Fine-Tuning

Hooded Horse drops fresh update featuring overhauled clothing, innovative zoning systems, and new decoration classes. Live the rural medieval life with added flair.

Hooded Horse and MinMax Games are bringing the charm of the Scottish highlands to the next level. In their 11th significant update to Clanfolk, a city-building game that lets you lead a family through the generations in a medieval rural setting, players are in for a treat with an array of new features.

Firstly, the fresh patch offers new zoning systems, giving players an opportunity to increase the efficiency of their clan’s day-to-day life. The update promises better functionality for buildings like Inns, enhancing the overall gameplay experience.

Perhaps the most noticeable and delightful update, however, is the introduction of decorations, a completely new class of objects in the game. Broken down into five distinct types, these range from wall hangings and fitted bed sheets, to platforms for showcasing other decorations. Players have been eagerly requesting this feature, and the developers at MinMax Games have delivered. This addition allows you to add a dash of charm and beauty to your homestead, and it’s expected to have more features added over time.

Clothing has also seen a significant overhaul in this update. Admit it – we all love the ruggedness of a “Bare Chested Winter Scotsman” challenging the winter elements, but it’s about time he dressed appropriately for the weather. With the new update, Clanfolk will adjust their clothing according to the average temperature and weather conditions, ensuring that no clansman has to endure the winter chill bare-chested again.

Clanfolk is also participating in SimFest, a celebration of simulation games running on Steam from July 20 to July 24. Other Hooded Horse games featured in SimFest include the recently released Xenonauts 2, Manor Lords, Nova Roma, Against the Storm, and Old World.
