Blimey! It’s only been six weeks since Tchia, the stunning open-world island adventure, launched on PlayStation consoles and PC, and it has already captured the hearts of over 1 million players! I’ve got my cuppa ready to spill the tea on all the good news coming from developer Awaceb and publisher Kepler Interactive.
To celebrate this fantastic milestone, Awaceb has put together a brand-new accolades trailer and, wait for it… opened pre-orders for a physical version of Tchia on PS4 and PS5! This brand-new Oléti edition, distributed in partnership with Maximum Games, will launch on July 18th. It’s up for grabs right now at select retailers and includes a cosmetic pack inspired by Kepler Interactive’s family of games. You’ll be able to customise your boat, ukulele, glider, and even Tchia’s outfit with items and looks from Sifu, Scorn, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, and Cat Quest-inspired designs.
If you haven’t had the chance to experience Tchia yet, let me give you a quick rundown of what to expect. You’ll step into the shoes of a young adventurer named Tchia, who’s on a quest to save her father from the archipelago’s tyrannical ruler, Meavora. To do so, you’ll have to face down her mindless minions, the Maano, using your creativity and some mystical tools like soul-jumping and a magical ukulele. The game’s world is inspired by the small island nation of New Caledonia, offering a breathtaking look at a part of the world many have never seen before.
Critics have praised Tchia for its charming physics-based sandbox that begs to be explored and sense of childlike wonder. So, if you’re ready to embark on a heartfelt adventure, Tchia is available now for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via the Epic Games Store *.
