Which keyboard should I buy?
There are plenty of different types of keyboards out there, Mechanical (clicky keys) and membrane are the main two, but there are lots of variants of each, too.
Mechanical keyboards offer a bit more tactile feedback, where you can more easily tell if a key has been pressed, both by the clicky sound, as well as through your fingertips. There is a specific feel to mechanical keyboards that membrane keyboards don’t necessarily have. However, mechanical keyboards are more often pricier to account for the higher build quality.
Membrane keyboards are cheaper, but often just as good. They have much less of an ‘action’ in order to push them. Less tactile feedback, but cheaper to produce, and the savings are passed onto the consumer.
