Inspired by classic action films like RoboCop, The Running Man, and American Gladiators, Showgunners takes place in a future society rife with civil unrest, extreme income inequality, and climate change. The game places players in the role of a contestant on a reality TV show, fighting for fame and glory in a deadly arena.
Showgunners features challenging tactical combat mechanics across various hand-crafted levels, allowing players to build their team and customize their loadouts with powerful weapons, implants, and utilities. Each live-streamed broadcast presents a unique obstacle course with a distinct theme, traps, and challenges, making each match a new experience.
One of the most exciting new features of Showgunners is its Twitch mode. Streamers can invite viewers to join the action as showrunners, voting on events in real-time across a range of maps, each varying in scope, environment, and level interactivity. Will your fans help you out in a pinch, or will they choose violence and send you to your doom?
In Showgunners, death is not the end. Defy it through skillful play to grow your fame, sign autographs for fans, and unlock sponsorship deals for bonus rewards to help you win the show.
