There’s brilliant news on the horizon, especially if you’re a connoisseur of retro games. This May, we’re about to get a hefty dose of nostalgia with the re-release of four timeless classics from Strategic Simulations Inc. (SSI) – Veil of Darkness, Star General, The Summoning, and Dark Legions. Brought to you by SNEG, the publisher that’s become our go-to for resurrecting beloved gaming gems, these titles will be available on GOG.com and Steam.
SSI, if you need reminding, was an absolute powerhouse back in the early ’90s, renowned for some of the most engrossing strategy and RPG games of the era. “The four games we bring back (sic) showcase the variety of SSI’s portfolio – from Star General, a turn-based strategy from the iconic 5-star “general series”, to Veil of Darkness – their venture into horror, which is set on par with the likes of Alone in the Dark. And more is yet to come as we have rights and plans to bring even more SSI’s titles to players.” said Oleg Klapovskiy, Director at SNEG.
