Planet Zoo: Eurasia Animal Pack And Free Update Announced

Frontier Development announced the next animal pack for their successful creative zoo management game Planet Zoo. With the Eurasia Animal Pack, players can add eight brand new animals to their zoo, which are perfect for the harsh climate found in the mountains and forests of Eurasia. The pack will be released on the 13th of December 2023 alongside the next free update.

We get a glance at the new animals in the announcement trailer:

In Eurasia, the seasons are always changing, and the climate can be very harsh. The animals introduced in this pack are all specialised to survive in this landscape – from lush meadows to snowy mountain tops.

The eight new animals introduced in this pack are:

  • Wisent
  • Wild Boar
  • Mute Swan
  • Sloth Bear
  • Wolverine
  • Saiga
  • Takin
  • Hermann’s Tortoise (exhibit animal)

In addition to adding these animals to their zoo, players can also take on the challenge of a new Career Scenario project. Bernie Goodwin wants to build a zoo in secret to surprise Nancy Jones when she retires. Can you help him with the project?

The animal pack will be available for the price of £7.99 / $9.99 / 9.99€ on Steam.

Free Update 1.16

The main new feature that comes with the free update 1.16 is modular souvenir shops. Players can now build fully functional shops with a full interior and decorations. Watch visitors as they browse your wares, interact with the displays and go to checkout to complete their purchase. Place shelf displays, hanging displays, poster displays, and corner shelves, colour them freely using the flexicolour function and select which items you want to sell where from a drop-down menu.

In addition to building custom shops, players can now use a new Multiselect tool. Multiselect by Flexicolour adds all similar objects to a multi-selection so you can re-colour the whole selection. This makes making custom builds (and changing your mind about colours) much much easier.

Additionally, the Bengal Tigers can now have more colour morphs, including pseudomelanistic and erythristic colourmorphs.

This free update also includes a range of bug fixes, which will be announced in more detail on the day of the update.
