Are you ready for an adventure in the world of Greek mythology? You’re in luck because the upcoming game Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island is now available to play on Steam. This first demo is released during the LudoNarraCon, a digital festival celebrating narrative independent games, from May 4th to May 8th. Join backpacker Alex in exploring the beautiful yet mysterious island, meeting gods and goddesses along the way.
Developed by Polygon Treehouse, the team behind the BAFTA Award-nominated game Röki, and published by Whitethorn Games, Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island offers a non-linear adventure that centers around friendship, community, and family. Alex has been stranded on the island, which is home to several gods from Greek mythology. However, they have lost their memories, and it’s up to you to befriend them, help them remember who they are, and uncover the island’s secrets.
The demo allows you to explore the island and build relationships with the gods through a unique relationship mechanic. The closer you get to them, the more willing they are to help Alex with their godly powers. You can also use the Ambrosidex to track down lost godly treasures and return them to their rightful owners, which in turn helps to rekindle their memories.
Polygon Treehouse will host two streams during LudoNarraCon to give an inside look at the game. Join the team for the first developer playthrough stream on the Mythwrecked Steam page on Saturday, May 6th, and a Q&A session stream on Thursday, May 4th, where they will answer your questions about the game live.
