Bad Logic Studios and Reverie World Studios have made it official that their highly anticipated medieval strategy game, The King’s Campaign, will make its grand debut on Steam on July 13th, 2023. This notable collaborative effort between the Coventry-based indie developer and the Toronto-based Reverie World Studios promises to bring a refreshing revamp to the beloved Royal Blood DLC campaign.
Based on the top-selling game Medieval Kingdom Wars, The King’s Campaign is an exciting standalone version, integrating the expanded map from the Greater World DLC and the optional Zombie Mode from its eponymous DLC. The developers have seized this opportunity to bring numerous player-requested updates and features to the forefront, including a refined Tech Tree and a better manual saving system for campaigns, with the promise of more to be unveiled soon.
The game masterfully intertwines grand strategy and real-time strategy gameplay, immersing players in the bustling medieval world of Europe and North Africa. As rulers, players are given the task of expanding and defending their kingdoms, building up cities, engaging in intricate diplomacy, and leading armies into battle.
Bad Logic Studios and Reverie World Studios have said they want to make clear that this update is primarily an alternative for new players entering the franchise. Veteran Medieval Kingdom Wars players can achieve a comparable gameplay experience, albeit without the new updates, by purchasing the existing DLCs, which are conveniently available as a bundle.

The Kingdom Wars series has been a significant feather in the cap for Reverie World Studios. With over 15 years in the PC game industry, they’ve been a constant source of innovative gameplay experiences. On the other side of the partnership, Bad Logic Studios has been an integral contributor to the Kingdom Wars series and has independently brought to the market several successful small action platformer games on Steam.
As The King’s Campaign prepares for its release on July 13th, 2023, on Steam, we anticipate a fervent reception from both new and seasoned players of the Kingdom Wars franchise. This announcement is indeed an exciting milestone for the two collaborating studios and serves as a testament to their dedication to player feedback and continual innovation.
