Are you ready to step into the murky midlands of 1980s Britain and take on the challenges of poverty, dodgy loans, and property renovation? Landlord’s Super, the first-person construction simulator from MinskWorks, is leaving Steam Early Access and releasing fully on May 25th, 2023.
This game takes you on a journey through a fully simulated, open-world 1980s Britain where you must build your way out of poverty with bricks and mortar in hand. With unemployment sky-high, it’s up to you to restore a property, move in the locals, attend to their grievances, and celebrate with a pint in a local pub.
Throughout development, Landlord’s Super has been a huge hit with players who have been providing feedback and suggestions for improvements. With this final release, players can now play through from new Sheffingham resident to retirement, assuming they’ve managed to financially secure it.
You can build towards a cushy retirement through any means necessary, mixing cement, assembling scaffolding, ordering supplies, and rebuilding hope brick-by-brick. Take odd jobs and meet a cast of local personalities and dodgy characters around town or just drink the day away at the pub. Players plan their actions in a living world around the time of day, seasonal weather, and their own wellbeing.
The game is a unique spin on the construction and life simulation genres and is very British, making it stand out from other games in the genre. As Simon Byron, Director of Publishing at Yogscast Games, says, “In a world of facsimiles, MinskWorks has created something very different, very refreshing and very British.”

Landlord’s Super will be available to buy on PC for an MSRP £15.49 ($19.99/ €16.79) when it fully releases on May 25th, though we have noticed that today it’s early access list price on Steam is £16.75. Developer MinskWorks says there will be a launch discount to celebrate the game’s completion.
