Attention all Guardians! Destiny 2’s Guardian Games event is back, and it’s time to represent your favorite class – Hunters, Warlocks, and Titans – to compete for fame, glory, and prizes. The event is free and runs from today until May 23, coinciding with the end of the Season of Defiance.
During Guardian Games, players will earn Medallions for activities across the game, including a class-based version of the popular PvP mode Supremacy. This means fierce competition in the Crucible, so make sure to bring your best game.
But that’s not all – there are two Guardian Games weapons up for grabs, including the Taraxippos, the first Legendary Strand Scout Rifle in the game, and The Title, a Void Submachine Gun with the fan-favorite perk, Repulsor Brace.
Additionally, players can obtain cosmetic rewards by completing challenges on their Guardian Games Event Card. The Event Card is free and can be upgraded for 1,000 Silver to unlock instant and additional earnable rewards like a new Exotic emote, the brand-new Champ title, and extra Triumphs.
But that’s not all – players can also participate in the Guardian Games Cup, where they can raise money for charity while competing with other teams from around the world. Teams will compete in the Technical and Charitable categories, with the top teams in each category winning some sweet prizes, including custom art of your fireteam and Guardian Games Pendants.
To participate, make sure to register your team and sign up for the Bungie Foundation. This year, all funds raised will be sent to Direct Relief and the International Rescue Committee equally, to make a truly global impact.
