If you’re a fan of old-school FPS games like Half-Life and BioShock, then we’ve got great news for you! Latest Past studio and Perun Creative are launching their latest creation, Kvark, on Steam on June 2nd. This retro-inspired game takes you on a radioactive adventure in a dangerous underground facility somewhere in the Czech Republic.
Load your guns, put on your asbestos jacket, and get ready to explore the facility that your not-so-ethical employer was trying to hide. Kvark is an FPS game that pays homage to classic games of the genre while still providing players with modern solutions like up-to-date rendering techniques and adaptive audio.
The game features a fast-paced combat system with a plethora of weapons ranging from wrenches to grenades, bazookas, and the iconic EK-48. The enemies are uniquely designed, diverse, and challenging, requiring swift tactics and weapon swapping, quick thinking, and constant movement. You’ll have to search for suspicious substances that may help you with your efforts while solving puzzles and finding hidden notepads to reveal the intriguing story.
The game boasts detailed, interactive levels that reward players who are willing to explore with hidden Easter eggs, secrets, and achievements. With stylized retro graphics that bring old-school gaming nostalgia, Kvark has a strong “just-one-more-level” vibe and loads of explosive fun!
Kvark is initially launching on PC, but it will later be available on PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. So, if you like what you saw in the Kvark release date announcement trailer, add the game to your Steam wishlist and get ready to embark on a radioactive adventure this June.
We’d love to hear your thoughts on Kvark, so don’t forget to share your opinion in the comments below or in the Gaming.Buzz Community Discord. Are you excited to explore the underground facility? Which weapon are you most looking forward to using? Let us know!
