Grab your magic potions and prepare for a bountiful harvest of Gaulish fun as the legendary comic book heroes Asterix & Obelix make their grand entrance into NACON’s game catalogue this year! The ever-expanding video game publisher has teamed up with Jumpgate AB and Les Editions Albert René to present “Asterix & Obelix: Heroes,” a brand new game set to be released on PC and consoles, including the ever-popular Nintendo Switch™, this coming September.
Until this auspicious partnership, the Asterix franchise remained notably absent from NACON’s impressive portfolio. But as specialists in licensed games, NACON say they’re absolutely chuffed to finally include this beloved franchise among their 2023 offerings.
Having delighted fans across the globe for over six decades, Asterix, with his faithful companion Obelix, once again promise to bring joy to audiences of all ages. “Asterix & Obelix: Heroes” aims to welcome everyone into the vibrant world of these renowned Gauls – not just die-hard comic fans, but gamers too.
The game introduces an exciting twist as it’s built around a card-based RPG system. Players collect cards of their favourite Gaulish heroes, plot strategies, and then charge headlong into skirmishes against those pesky Romans. Throughout the game, players can unlock new cards with special attributes and partake in various challenges and events sprinkled around the game map. Familiar sights and characters from the world of Asterix await fans, who will be treated to the iconic art style that has captivated readers for generations.
