Mercat Games, an independent games studio from Poland, have announced that their new game, Frigato: Shadows of the Caribbean is under development, alongside their publishers Ultimate Games S.A.
Frigato: Shadows of the Caribbean is a real-time stealth tactical game with an isometric view. The player will command a crew of salty sea-dogs and face a wide variety of challenges. A well prepared plan and keeping your wits about you will be your keys to success.
The creators have announced that the player will have multiple branching paths to go down. Perhaps you’ll gain some notoriety as a slippery, elusive gentleman-pirate, sneaking your way past enemies. Or, perhaps you’ll go a different route and be known as the bloody terror of the Caribbean, killing all before you, and becoming a terrifying presence on the seas.
“In Frigato, we combine the elements of pirate adventures, dark legends and rowdy humour into a unique whole. The game will loosely refer to the so-called golden age of piracy – the 17th and 18th century. Gameplay-wise, it should appeal to fans of games like Shadow Tactics, Desperados, Commandos, War Mongrels and Partisans 1941”

The game is scheduled to release early next year, but a demo for the game will be available on Steam on 13/06.
