We’ve got some cracking news for you lot today! The highly anticipated Biomutant is finally coming to the Nintendo Switch™! That’s right, you heard it here first. THQ Nordic has announced that their vibrant and dangerous open-world, post-apocalyptic Wung-Fu fable RPG is hopping onto the Switch platform. And let me tell you, it’s gonna be a wild ride.
In Biomutant, you’ll experience a colourful adventure filled with intense martial arts combat and daring exploration across seven regions, each teeming with unique flora and fauna. But remember, your decisions carry weight, so tread carefully and unleash your inner warrior for the adventure of a lifetime.

For those of you already playing Biomutant on PC, PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, Xbox One™, and Xbox Series X/S, don’t worry, THQ Nordic haven’t forgotten you. If you own an Xbox One or PlayStation 4 version of the game, you’re eligible for a free upgrade to the enhanced version (Xbox One to Xbox X/S, PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5 only!). Just keep in mind that physical PS4 disc owners with a disc-less PS5 are out of luck on this one.
What’s Biomutant All About?
The game features a unique martial arts style combat system that offers maximum freedom of movement and agility, allowing you to mix melee, shooting, and mutant abilities. The more you progress and learn from masters, the more Wung-Fu combat forms you’ll have at your disposal to keep the action fresh and exciting.
Biomutant also lets you re-code your genetic structure, which changes how you look and play, affecting your attributes. You can even gain mutations from exposure to bio-contamination and radioactivity, unlocking abilities like telekinesis and levitation.
The crafting system is next level, giving you complete freedom to create unique weapons and modifications. You’ll also encounter characters that’ll craft cool stuff for you, like bionic wings and jump-packs, and even help you modify your scrap-toy sidekick, the Automaton.
Equipping your character is entirely up to you, so gear up for adventure and choose the right equipment for exploring Dead Zones, cryonic areas, and confronting bio-contaminated creatures.
The vibrant open world awaits, and it’s up to you to explore it by foot, mech, jet-ski, air-balloon, or even unique mounts. Uncover mysteries, confront creatures, and meet weird characters in this colourful world as you make choices that affect the story’s unfolding.
