If you’re a fan of the viral mobile game series Dumb Ways to Die, then you’re in for a treat! The latest entry, Dumb Ways to Die 4, is out now on both iOS and Android, and it’s going back to basics with more than 70 manic minigames for you to play!
Developed by PlaySide Studios, Dumb Ways to Die 4 is an ode to the quirky minigame roots of the franchise. Players will need to think fast to overcome the fast-paced, surprising challenges and save the Beans from their untimely demise. As you progress through the game, you’ll unlock Beans who provide unique bonuses for the minigames, helping you to rebuild Beanville.
Danny Armstrong, GM Mobile at PlaySide Studios, said that the mobile titles will always be at the core of the franchise. With Dumb Ways to Die 4, they wanted to go back to the manic minigames people have long associated with the series, making it the love child of the original Dumb Ways to Die game and Dumb Ways to Die 2.
‘With the success of the recent Dumb Ways TikTok trend, the original Dumb Ways to Die game topped the iOS game charts in 43 countries. As Dumb Ways to Die 4 has a similar feel to the original game, those who downloaded the mobile title for the nostalgia of the game are set to really enjoy the latest release,’ adds Armstrong.
With over 70 different minigames across a range of locations and environments, Dumb Ways to Die 4 is sure to keep you entertained for hours. And with in-app purchases available, you can customize your gameplay experience even further.
But that’s not all! PlaySide Studios has also announced that this year will see the release of the Dumb Ways to Die: Card Game in partnership with Spin Master, as well as BEAN LAND, a PC-focused online multiplayer battle royale. And throughout the year, they will continue to develop Dumb Ways to Survive for the Netflix Games platform, with even more planned for 2024 and beyond.
The Origins of Dumb Ways To Die
Metro Trains, based in Melbourne, Victoria, created the “Dumb Ways To Die” campaign to raise awareness about railway safety in Australia. The campaign’s video gained popularity on social media following its release in November 2012 and can occasionally be heard being “sung” by a certain derpy streamer while playing CoD Warzone.
