Dive Into Darktide’s Explosive New Content: Rejects Unite!

Fatshark's biggest content drop yet introduces new missions, foes, and a swanky cosmetics shop to Warhammer 40,000: Darktide.

Hello, fellow Warhammer enthusiasts! Get your power armour on and load up your bolters because Fatshark has just announced the most significant content update yet for our beloved Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. Officially named ‘Rejects Unite’, this major drop was unveiled in the run-up to the eagerly awaited Warhammer Skulls 2023.

You’ve asked for it, and Fatshark listened. Rejects Unite isn’t just some simple patch or minor upgrade – it’s an immense addition that promises to reinvent your Darktide experience, loaded with new missions, a fresh enemy, earnable cosmetics, and an updated store. The Stockholm-based developers revealed this bumper content drop at Warhammer Skulls and have scheduled its release for Steam and the Microsoft Windows Store.

Content Drop: Rejects Unite | Official Trailer

The crux of the update includes two riveting missions: ‘Archivum Sycorax – Throneside’ and ‘Ascension Riser 31 – Transit’. The former mission will let you delve deep into the Archives and Administratum Offices in search of valuable data. Meanwhile, the latter is a remix mission that’s part of the first community event. It involves achieving three challenges for a three-part reward, with the final one unlocking Ascension Riser 31.

Archivum Sycorax – Throneside

Deep dive into the Archives and Administratum Offices

“Archivum Sycorax is within our strike range, and there’s plenty of data buried inside. Get in, access the Deep Archives, and bring us back something juicy. We’ve seditionists to root out.”

Ascension Riser 31 – Transit

A remix mission, Ascension Riser 31 is part of Darktides first community event. Players will unite to achieve 3 challenges. Each challenge will unlock a reward; the last will be Ascension Riser 31.

“The Moebians are due to pay off some of their co-conspirators. The exchange is happening in a Chasm Station Transit Hub. Said payment’s taking the form of prismata crystals. Worthless to you, but handy if you’re manufacturing heavy weapons.”

An Old F(r)iend Returns

But it’s not just new missions you’ll be getting stuck into. Prepare to square off against the newly-added Chaos Spawn – a returning enemy from Warhammer lore. Lock and load, everyone!

And for all you fashion-conscious warriors out there, get ready to flaunt your style. Fatshark is giving a facelift to the cosmetic inventory, introducing new earnable cosmetics, and bringing back the premium store with a new set of cosmetic items.

Despite an admittedly rocky start, with overall mixed reviews on Steam, Fatshark say they have been on the ball, rolling out regular updates, patches, and hotfixes over the last six months, as well as content drops, to improve the game. The effort has clearly paid off as this latest drop looks promising.

“We know we missed the mark at launch,” says Juan Martinez, Executive Producer Darktide“We acknowledged it, went through community feedback, and changed our approach to servicing the game. We’re updating Darktide regularly and have released two content drops, nine updates, and numerous hotfixes since launch. And we’re not stopping. Our latest drop, Rejects Unite, adds even more new content for everyone to sink their teeth into. I couldn’t be prouder of what the team has achieved thus far. And there’s more to come soon.”

So, whether you’re an old hand or a newbie looking to get started, make sure to give this latest content drop a whirl.
