Hey there gamers, hold onto your hats because there’s a new spy-themed shooter in town! DECEIVE INC. has officially launched today, and it’s promising to bring a whole new level of stealth and spycraft to the FPS genre. The game is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and it’s got cross-play support too, so you can play with your friends regardless of which platform they’re on.
DECEIVE INC. puts players in the shoes of a spy working for a private corporation with a monopoly over the international espionage market. You’ll have access to all sorts of high-tech gadgets and skills, allowing you to blend in with your surroundings, access restricted areas, and grab the objective before breaking out. But you’re not the only one on the job, as rival spies are also after the same objective, so you’ll need to be on your toes if you want to come out on top.
The game features a diverse roster of spies to choose from, each with their own unique abilities, weapons, and passive skills. You can also create custom loadouts using a plethora of gadgets inspired by Hollywood spy films, including the Bounce Mat, Shield-brella, and holo-mimic gadget.
DECEIVE INC. also boasts a high-tech holographic watch that lets you disguise yourself as NPC guests, staff members, or even security guards to gain access to restricted areas without arousing suspicion. However, you’ll need to watch out for enemy spies who may be disguised as well.
The game features a variety of locations full of suspicious persons of interest, electronics to hack, restricted areas, and secret rooms. With multiple ways to infiltrate the vault, you’ll need to be careful to avoid rival spies who will stop at nothing to take the objective.
DECEIVE INC. is developed by Sweet Bandits Studios, an indie studio based in Quebec, Canada, and published by Tripwire Presents. The developers have been proactive in letting players help drive development, and their belief in openness and transparency has resulted in a unique gameplay experience. They’ve previously shipped a title, Coffence, an online multiplayer game, using Amazon.
