Blue Crew to the Rescue: The Smurfs 2: The Prisoner of the Green Stone Announced
Our favourite little blue friends are back with a bang – Microids and IMPS have just dropped the exciting news that ‘The Smurfs 2: The Prisoner of the Green Stone’ is in the works. Yes, you heard it here first, folks – The Smurfs are returning for another 3D adventure/platform game, set to hit the shops in Q4 2023. Get ready to Smurf it up on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Brought to you by the same talented lot at OSome Studio who made the 2021 hit ‘The Smurfs – Mission Vileaf’, this sequel promises to take us on a whole new adventure. So, what’s in store for us this time around?
In this story, our good mate Handy Smurf’s been tinkering away, creating a nifty little thing called the SmurfoMix. But there’s a snag – he’s missing the key ingredient, the Green Stone, and it’s in the mitts of that old villain, Gargamel.
And, as you might expect, things go pear-shaped pretty quick. After an explosive mishap, the Green Stone fragments are scattered throughout the Cursed Land, releasing some nasty powers and freeing the evil Stolas. So, who’s up to bat to save the day? A team of four Smurfs, ready to take on the adventure, with a surprising ally in tow… Gargamel himself!
‘The Smurfs 2: The Prisoner of the Green Stone’ is set to offer a smorgasbord of Smurfy features. You’ll meet a team of iconic Smurfs, enjoy dynamic gameplay, and even get to partner up with Gargamel! Plus, there’s a co-op mode for all those out there who fancy a bit of team play.
And let’s not forget – 2023 is a big year for our blue pals as they celebrate their 65th anniversary! So, why not join the party and embark on this brand new adventure?
So, what do you reckon, folks? Are you ready to step into those Smurf-sized shoes and save the day? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below or over on the Gaming.Buzz Community Discord.
