Anchors Aweigh for World of Warships’ ‘Longest Night of Museums’ Livestream Event!

All aboard for a two-day maritime history extravaganza featuring virtual museum tours, panel discussions, and exclusive Twitch content drops.

Oi there, shipmates! Grab your sailor hats, because it’s time once again for World of Warships’ third annual ‘Longest Night of Museums’ event. In honour of International Museum Day, we’re setting sail on a virtual voyage around the world, visiting 19 of the top naval museums. Prepare for panel discussions, Q&A sessions, exclusive Twitch content drops, and plenty more.

The event is launching on the World of Warships Twitch channel from 18th May, 10:00 AM UTC. Quizzes with in-game prizes and unique Twitch drops will keep you on your toes, so make sure to clear your decks for this adventure!

Our maiden port of call is the Nikola Tesla Technical Museum in Croatia. From there, we’ll be jet-setting to Brazil, the Netherlands, and Chile. As the evening sets in, we’ll visit the HMS Belfast in the UK before heading to the USA, Australia, and South Korea. The final destination? Hamsang Park! To get the full itinerary, drop your anchor here.

This annual event is part of World of Warships’ ongoing mission to support and celebrate the vital work done by naval museums and heritage sites worldwide. As the largest digital ship museum globally, World of Warships is uniquely positioned to preserve and amplify the historical legacy of these ships and their crews.

But the fun doesn’t stop at virtual tours, oh no! The event will also feature a special screening of the documentary “Surrender on the USS Missouri,” thanks to the event’s media partner, MagellanTV. Stick around for a chat with the award-winning director, Tim Gray, and keep your eyes peeled for discussion panels with the Historical Naval Ships Association and the United States Navy Institute.

Wargaming is also throwing in three free in-game content drops throughout the night. Alongside these, there’ll be quizzes with special in-game prizes up for grabs. And for our existing and new players, bonus codes will be featured on museum websites and social media.

With over 600 ships in the game, World of Warships is proud to have the largest collection of historically accurate ships available to play in the world. They’ve worked tirelessly to ensure that the majority of these vessels are designed accurately, using documents and blueprints from the first half of the 20th century.

So, all hands on deck, shipmates! The Longest Night of Museums sets sail from 18th May, 10:00 AM UTC, until 19th May, 03:30 AM UTC. To join the global tour, visit the official event page.
